The Challenge
Summit Exteriors had a WordPress site built by a local generalist 3 years prior. It loaded in 9 seconds on mobile, scored 38 on Google PageSpeed, and had a contact form buried three clicks deep. Despite running Google Ads and getting traffic, their form submission rate was under 2% — most visitors were bouncing before they ever reached a CTA.
Before vs. After
Contact Form Submissions
< 2% conversion rate — form buried 3 clicks deep
85% more submissions — 3-field form on homepage
Mobile PageSpeed Score
38/100 — 9-second load time on mobile
94/100 — sub-second load
Cost Per Conversion
Baseline — same ad traffic, low conversion rate
−44% — more conversions from same traffic
What We Built
We rebuilt the site on Next.js with mobile performance as the primary design constraint. Every above-the-fold element was ruthlessly simplified: a clear headline, a photo of completed work, a phone number clickable in one tap, and a 'Get a Free Estimate' button before the scroll. The contact form was simplified to 3 fields and placed on the homepage. Page speed on mobile hit 94 on Google PageSpeed at launch.
The Process
Performance Audit
1 dayAnalyzed the existing WordPress site — identified 11 issues causing slow load times and 3 UX problems with the contact form flow
Mobile-First Design
2 daysDesigned a ruthlessly simplified mobile layout — above-the-fold content optimized for speed and one-tap CTAs, 3-field contact form placed on homepage
Next.js Build
3 daysBuilt the site on Next.js with image optimization, lazy loading, and critical CSS inlining to hit a 94 PageSpeed score on mobile
Launch & Optimize
1 dayDeployed and monitored form conversion rates daily for 2 weeks, adjusting CTA copy and form field order based on real user behavior
The Results
Form submissions jumped 85% in the first 30 days. The site's mobile PageSpeed score went from 38 to 94. Combined with their existing Google Ads campaign driving the same traffic, the cost per conversion dropped by 44% because more of the same traffic was converting.
ROI Summary
Cost per conversion dropped 44% — same ad traffic, nearly double the leads
